The band will play at Legends Theatre inside DiamondJacks Casino & Hotel. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the show begins at 7.

Tickets are $20 for general seating and are available at DiamondJacks hotel.

Guests must be 21 to attend. Casino marketing coordinator Daniela Thomas said door prizes will be given away to 10 people after the show.

KC and the Sunshine Band was founded in 1973 in Miami by songwriters Harry Wayne Casey and Richard Finch. Guitarist Jerome Smith, who died in 2000, and drummer Robert Johnson joined soon after.

The band is known for disco hits such as “That’s the Way (I Like It)”, “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty” and “Get Down Tonight.”

Even after the decline of disco’s popularity, the band has continued to perform. In April, Casey performed “Get Down Tonight” on Fox’s “American Idol,” which begins a new season Tuesday night.
