Atwood returned to federal custody today

A man was arrested in Warren County by U.S. Marshals this morning for a violation of a supervised release.

David Atwood, 26, 439 Garden Grove St., was taken to the Madison County Detention Facility at 8:53 this morning, Marshal Richard Griffin said.

Griffin expects Atwood to remain in the jail pending a hearing before U.S. District Court Judge David Bramlette.

Atwood had pleaded guilty in 2005 to wire fraud and sexual enticement. Bramlette had sentenced him to five years, three months in federal prison followed by five years’ probation and payment of nearly $26,000 in restitution.

No information was available this morning on what brought today’s arrest.
