Elsia Mae Scott

Elsia Mae Scott died Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, at her home. She was 84.
Ms. Scott was formerly employed at a veterinarian clinic in Charleston, S.C. She was a member of Pleasant Green M.B. Church. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Ruth Chapter; Christian Home Society; Mount Alban Union Sisters; and Brothers and Sisters of Zion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luster Lee Hampton; her parents, Joseph and Lenore Edwards Scott; a sister, Willie Burns Scott; three brothers, Johnny Scott, Thomas Scott and Bob Scott.
Survivors include four sons, Luster Lee Hampton Jr. and Ernest Lee Hampton, both of Charleston, Tommy Scott of Vicksburg and George “Leon” Hampton of Gaston, Ala.; four daughters, Linda S. Jenkins and Edna Scott, both of Charleston, Inez Richardson of Richmond, Calif., and Elsie H. Grant of Seattle, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other relatives, including Rosalind Cloy, Chris Scott and Reggie Grant.
