A reward was being offered by Vicksburg police this morning for anyone with information about a vandalism spree that forced the cancellation of today’s classes at Porters Chapel Academy.

School surveillance tapes will be used to identify the suspects.

“Two white males were in the school with baseball bats, and they went through the school from office to office busting doors, flipping over desks and scattering papers,” said Investigator Brad D. Derrington.

“It was in five or six offices, and they caused thousands of dollars worth of damage. If it had a door and it was an office, they used the baseball bats to bust it open.”

The two were caught by the cameras, but Derrington said school officials could not identify them this morning as PCA students.

Only a medical bag filled with syringes and insulin was reported missing, said Derrington.

“This was not a theft-orientated incident. It was somebody who definitely had a personal issue with the school,” said Derrington.
