UTICA — Susan Beck Boyd died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 51.

Ms. Boyd was a lifelong resident of Utica, where she owned and operated Cut’s and More Barber Shop. She was a dog breeder and a member of Cayuga Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Jessica Bates of Utica; a sister, Barbara B. Barlow of Utica; and brothers Bob Beck of Austin, Texas, and Dennis Beck of Utica.

Services, directed by Glenwood Funeral Home of Utica, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cayuga Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday at the church, from 9 a.m. until the service.

Pallbearers are Loren Britt, Sammy Britt Jr., Michael Barlow, Bobby Barlow, Billy Barlow and Eric Beck.

Sammy Britt Sr. will be honorary pallbearer.
