Vicksburg man held here for Tennessee

A Vicksburg man wanted in Tennessee was in the Warren County Jail today.
Warren County deputies found David Reed, 40, 1212 Locust St., was wanted for felonious destruction of property during the commission of burglary after they arrested him on a misdemeanor traffic violation on Clay Street at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Sheriff Martin Pace said.
Reed was being held without bond pending extradition to Tennessee, Pace said.
Guns, tools missing in weekend burglaries
Two burglaries were reported in Vicksburg during the weekend, police Sgt. Sandra Williams said.
Personal checks on a closed bank account and food valued at about $65 were reported stolen from a home in the 4400 block of Halls Ferry Road at 4:53 a.m. Sunday.
A .38-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun was reported stolen from a 1997 Honda CRV in the 2500 block of Ken Caryl Avenue at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
In Warren County, power tools and weapons were among items reported stolen during the weekend.
A 5-by-8-foot utility trailer valued at $695, a blue 15-amp Ryobi miter saw valued at $199, an air compressor valued at $170 and a 10-foot power pole saw valued at $116 were reported stolen from a home in the 400 block of Silver Creek Drive at 12:29 p.m. Saturday.
A Husqvarna model 55 chain saw valued at $400, a Stihl blower valued at $250 and an Echo 6500 generator valued at $1,000 were reported stolen from a storage building in the 14000 block of U.S. 61 south at 1:14 p.m. Saturday.
A 45-70 Buffalo rifle valued at $465, a bolt-action 17 Mossburg valued at $600 and a .22-caliber Browning Bushmaster handgun valued at $400 were reported stolen from a pickup in the 400 block of Lakeview Drive at 3:15 p.m. Sunday.
A 42-inch Vizio TV valued at $500 was reported stolen from a home in the 4300 block of South Glen Drive at 7:56 p.m. Sunday.
