City man held in try to break into car

A Vicksburg man was charged with attempted auto burglary Monday night.
Randall Hulett, 36, 875 Roy Young Road, is accused of trying to break into a 1992 Chrysler Imperial in the 3400 block of Halls Ferry Road at 9:32 p.m., Vicksburg police Sgt. Sandra Williams said.
Hulett was being held without bond in the Warren County Jail.
Separately, three auto burglaries were reported in the city and county Monday.
An Alpine CD player, an Alpine equalizer and two amplifiers were reported stolen at 8:05 a.m. from a 2004 Ford F-350 in a business parking lot at 3831 N. Washington St., Williams said.
A CD case with CDs was reported stolen from a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix in the 1900 block of Hope Street at 7:29 a.m.
In the county, about $12 was reported stolen from a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado in the 100 block of Deerfield Drive at 7:40 a.m.
Copper, shoes hot in city burglaries
A grand larceny was reported in Warren County, records showed.
A 40-foot roll of copper tubing valued at $5,000 was reported stolen from a building in the 300 block of Bell Bottom Road at 9:11 a.m.
Separately, a radio with detachable speakers valued at $50, about $60 and three pairs of Air Jordan sneakers valued at $100, $120 and $150 were reported stolen from a home in the 1300 block of Farmer Street in Vicksburg at 9:22 p.m., police Sgt. Sandra Williams said.
Vicksburg man held for probation violation
A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail today for violating probation, records showed.
John Grimes, 27, 202 Signal Hill Drive, was being held without bond.
Jackson woman held for drug court
A Jackson woman was in the Warren County Jail today for a drug court sanction, records showed.
Amanda Skeel, 31, 1643 Maria Drive, was being held without bond.
