Dog reported missing from Avenue C home

A dog was reported stolen from a home in the 1100 block of Avenue C Friday at 10:02 a.m., Vicksburg police Sgt. Beverly Prentiss said Saturday.

The white and brown hound mix had been chained in the backyard of the home and was reported missing after the owner returned home, Prentiss said.

No monetary value was placed on the dog, she said.

Purse, wallet missing on Drummond Street

An auto burglary was reported in the city Friday at 7:24 a.m., said police Sgt. Beverly Prentiss.

Missing from a 2000 Jeep Cherokee parked in the 3000 block of Drummond Street was a purse valued at $50 and its contents, including a wallet valued at $40, Prentiss said.
