Guns, jewelry missing in house burglaries

Electronics, weapons and jewelry were among items reported missing in four Vicksburg residential burglaries, police Sgt. Sandra Williams said.
A bag of charcoal and 45 DVDs were reported stolen from a home on Lydia Place, a short street off Bowman Street, at 2:25 p.m. Sunday.
At 12:06 Monday afternoon, an Xbox 360 arcade system valued at $200, an Xbox 360 Live valued at $200 and a wireless Xbox headset valued at $100 were reported stolen in the 100 block of Belva Drive. About three hours later in the same block, a High-point 9 mm handgun valued at $100 and a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber handgun valued at $100 were reported stolen.
Two gold watches valued at $100 each and a quart of Budweiser beer valued at $2.30 were reported stolen in the 200 block of Jefferson Circle at 5:58 p.m. Monday.
Separately, tools valued at $950 were reported stolen from a trailer in the 3800 block of Wisconsin Avenue at 7:49 a.m. Monday.
County fire damages home on Lealand
Fire damaged a home on Lealand Drive Monday morning.
The blaze was contained to a back bedroom during a house fire, reported at 9:16, at 208 Lealand Drive, Warren County Deputy Lloyd Autrey said.
Warren County Fire Coordinator Kelly Worthy said the home had light smoke damage throughout, and firefighters from Fisher Ferry and Culkin volunteer fire departments had the flames under control within 15 minutes.
The resident escaped without injury.
