Toyota parts due in Vicksburg

Repair kits for accelerator pedals for recalled Toyota vehicles are expected to arrive at the Clay Street dealership today or Thursday, and Service Manager Bill Madison said vehicle owners who received a letter about the recall should call to schedule an appointment.
Madison said “a couple of hundred” owners have already called to check on the parts and schedule an appointment, but he did not know how many local Toyota owners are affected by the recall. However, unlike some Toyota dealerships across the country, Madison said he does not expect his technicians will have to work far beyond normal business hours to serve local owners whose vehicles are included in the recall.
Toyota models affected by the recall include:
• Certain 2009-2010 RAV4s
• Certain 2009-2010 Corollas
• 2009-2010 Matrixes
• 2005-2010 Avalons
• Certain 2007-2010 Camrys
• Certain 2010 Highlanders
• 2007-2010 Tundras
• 2008-2010 Sequoias
Owners who have not received a recall letter but own a Toyota model listed may also call the dealership at 601-636-2855 to see if the vehicle needs to be serviced. Madison said not all vehicles listed in the recall will need the fix. Technicians can tell by a visual inspection. If it does, the update takes about 30 minutes, Madison said.
