The Rev. Leroy Wilson died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. He was 64.

Rev. Wilson was pastor of Springfield M.B. Church in Satartia. He was the former pastor of Pleasant Grove M.B. in Fitler and had been a deacon and member at First Baptist M.B. of Vicksburg. He was self-employed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nettie Tolliver Wilson; and his father, Monroe Douglas.

Survivors include his wife, Velma Wilson of Vicksburg; three daughters, Doris Yvette Wilson-Butler of Atlanta, Kimberly Wilson of Vicksburg and Stephanie Wilson of Ridgeland; two sons, Charles Evers Jackson and Kelvin Rankins, both of Vicksburg, and Irving Stanley Wilson of Starkville; one brother, Johnny B. Tolliver of Vicksburg; three sisters, Catherine Washington of Vicksburg, Beatrice Lee-Thornton of Shaw and Irene Haliburton of San Antonio, Texas; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
