Max D. Overstreet died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. He was 62.

Born in Jackson, Tenn., Mr. Overstreet was the son of the late Mack Overstreet and Nona Vickery Overstreet. A resident of Vicksburg since 1960, he retired from the Vicksburg Warren School District with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Retired State Employees Association and the Mended Hearts Club.

Mr. Overstreet was of the Nazarene faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Overstreet.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy Overstreet.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Kuhrman Cox officiating. Visitation will be at Riles Funeral Home from 10 a.m. Monday until the service.
