YAZOO CITY — Willie Estelle Tharp died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 79.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William J. Tadlock and Exie Estelle Criddle; and a son, Raymond Grady Harris.
Mrs. Tharp was a homemaker and member of Center Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil Tharp of Yazoo City; five daughters, Joyce Johnson of Vicksburg, Carol Smith of Helena, Ark., Linda Hall of Wasilla, Alaska, Annette McGraw of Bentonia and E. Lucille Britton of Redwood; three stepdaughters, Sue Kimble of Carthage, Jane Howell of Greensboro, N.C., and Barbara Vonnell of Batesville; six sisters, Della Mae Blont of Theodore, Ala., Verley Alexander and Diane Lloyd, both of Greenville, Dorothy George of Raymond, Margie Smith and Stella Lomax, both of Isola, Miss.; four brothers, William Tadlock Jr. of Atlanta, Charles Tadlock of Three Rivers, Texas, Bobby Tadlock of Greenville and Jerry Tadlock of Belzoni; 23 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at noon at Center Ridge Baptist Church with the Revs. Daryl Oster and David Case officiating. Burial will follow at Center Ridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Sullivan, Tim Hall, James Smith, Steve Saxton, Drew Rainer and Shane Prescott.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul McGinty, Charles Long, Marshall Duell and Ernest Jackson.
