What a wonderful article about former Warren County Superintendent of Education Sharp Banks in the Feb. 7 paper. He certainly deserves all of the recognition given him in the article.

I had never heard of him, but in 1959 I had the good fortune to meet him when he permitted this “late enrollee” to come to school at Jett.  As a teenager there were many decisions I made that were not the wisest in the world, but I knew that finishing high school was an absolute necessity and Mr. Banks made that possible for me. Thank you, Mr. Banks, for all that you did for me.
