Webber E. Brewer

Webber E. Brewer died Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. He was 66.

Born in Greene County, Miss., he was the son of the late Chester M. Brewer and Ida Ontee Smith Brewer. He established Brewer Construction Company in 1971 and was recognized throughout the South for the restoration of historic homes and properties. He was a dedicated and devoted husband, father and grandfather to his family.

Mr. Brewer was a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn M. Brewer of Vicksburg; three daughters, Tracye Hogan, Kimberly Cain and her husband, Hank, and Kiely McKellar and her husband, Jason, all of Vicksburg; two sons, David A. Brewer and his wife, Allison, and Benjamin Brewer and his wife, Lacey, all of Vicksburg; 12 grandchildren, Carol Ann Wilson, Joseph Webber Wilson, Benjamin Warren Hogan, Trip Cain, Anna-Claire McKellar, Patrick Ian Hogan, Chloe Cain, Sara-Beth McKellar, Collin Manuel Brewer, Andrew David Brewer, Matthew Anthony Brewer and Dade Lawson Brewer; a sister, Shelia K. Beavers and her husband, Jimmy, of Alabama; and a brother, Sherman Brewer and his wife, Bonnie, of Vicksburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Brewer and Sid Brewer; and a sister, Charlotte Holeman.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Ivey, pastor of Highland Baptist Church, officiating. Interment services will be private at the Brewer Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.  

Pallbearers will be Chris Carter, William Shelby, Jesse Kilcrease, Sid Majoria, Varnie Brewer, John Arnold, Paul Terrell Wright and Byram Wright.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Sturgis, James Barnett, Doug Kelley, Bobby Smith, Eddie Ramshur, Tony Moffett, Kim Moffett, Phillip Couch and Ronnie Ingram.
