John Edmond Sr. died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. He was 85.

Born in Sardis, Mr. Edmond was retired from Anderson-Tully Co.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Mae Lilly Edmond; a son, Sam Edmond; and his parents.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Edmond and John Edmond Jr., both of Vicksburg; a brother, Gene Edmond of Sardis; and one sister.
