Joseph Eugene Wash Sr. died Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was 50.

Mr. Wash was born in Vicksburg and graduated from Vicksburg High School. He was employed at Beechwood Restaurant for 10 years as a chef and had worked at other restaurants in the area.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ferry D. Wash Sr.; two brothers, Owen Wash and Anthony Wash; and a sister, Betty Jean Wash Barnes.

Survivors include his mother, Vellie Wash of Vicksburg; two sons, Daron Trell Davis of Las Vegas and Joseph Wash Jr. of Vicksburg; three brothers, Terry Wash Sr. of Memphis and Ferry Wash Jr. and Willie Wash, both of Vicksburg; five sisters, Cynthia Wash Donerson, Jeanette Wash and Connie Wash, all of Vicksburg, Deloris Wash of Jackson and Melinda Wash of Newton; one grandchild; and other relatives and friends.
