Gregory Massey

Gregory Massey died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. He was 45.

Mr. Massey was born in Kentwood, La., and was raised and lived in Vicksburg. He was owner and operator of Massey’s Truck and Diesel. He was known as being a good family man.

He was preceded in death by his father, T.A. Massey.

Survivors include his fiancee, Maxine Ford; a son, Neal Massey of Vicksburg; a stepdaughter, Courtney Ford of Vicksburg; his mother, Eva Pearl Massey of Vicksburg; four brothers, Bill Massey of Shreveport, Kenny Massey, Bruce Massey and Richard Massey, all of Vicksburg; a granddaughter, Neely Massey; and two ex-wives, Lisa Massey Braswell and Brenda Massey, both of Vicksburg.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lighthouse Assembly of God Church with the Rev. David Case officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 5 until 8 at Glenwood Funeral Home and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Matt Sanderson, Deton Burns, Chris Johnson, Jay Johnson, Steven Ford, Remy Massey, Greg Shorter and Peyton Massey.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Sanderson, Ray Boatman, Rory Beard, Wesley Miller, Murry Hynum, Robert Collins and Stan Collins.
