Sarah Mae Mace died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. She was 51.

Mrs. Mace was employed in personal home care. She was a member of Christian Home No. 1 Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Fred Mace Jr.; a daughter, Frances Claxton; one sister, Patricia Gaskin; and her parents, Sammie Lewis and Mary Frances Brown.

Survivors include her husband, Fred A. Mace Sr.; one son, Thomas Mace of Vicksburg; one daughter, Mary Mace Benson of Brandon; five brothers, Sam Lewis, Eddie Lewis, Ronald Lewis and Michael Lewis, all of Kansas City, Kan., and John Earl Brown of Vicksburg; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
