RIDGELAND — Patricia “Pat” Nicholson Hendrix, age 71, of Ridgeland, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, in Hattiesburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel on Highland Colony Parkway with the Rev. Michael Nation officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. Monday at Highland Cemetery in Hattiesburg. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home on Highland Colony Parkway and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Pat was born in Jackson on July 21, 1938. She was employed as the deputy circuit clerk of Jackson and had been a faithful employee for the past 25 years.
Pat Hendrix was known by all who loved her as a woman who valued her family above all else. She was often called MeeMaw or MaMaw, by not only by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but the multitude of people she came into contact with everyday. She was a woman of great strength, fierce determination and abundant love.
Survivors include her son, Michael Grey Jones and his wife, Shelley, of Tupelo; three daughters, Kathryn Resio and her husband, Don, of Vicksburg, Cynde Houston and her husband, Mike, of Richland, and Wynde Fitts and her husband, Gene, of Hattiesburg; one brother, Carl L. Nicholson and his wife, Martha, of Hattiesburg; six grandchildren, Amy Jackson and her husband, Tony, Ashley Davidson and her husband, Jeff, Nathan Jones, Lora Claire Jones, Kayla Jones and Amanda Jones; five great-grandchildren, Jonathan Jackson, Drew Jackson, Addison Jackson, Ryan Davidson and Holden Davidson.
