Charles Mitchell, 37, 126 Fleetwood Drive, was released from the Warren County Jail Friday on a $2,500 bond after being arrested earlier in the day on an aggravated assault charge, jail records showed.

Vicksburg man held on Louisiana charge

A Vicksburg man wanted in Jefferson Parish, La., for a 2005 drug charge was in the Warren County Jail.

Marvin Tate, 40, 203 Ivy Circle, was arrested Thursday by Warren County deputies at China and Washington streets and accused of illegal distribution of crack cocaine, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

The U.S. Marshals Office contacted local officials with information that Tate was living in Vicksburg, Pace said. Tate was being held without bond pending extradition to Jefferson Parish.

Vicksburg man charged in meth

A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail on a possession of methamphetamine charge.

Dalton Hynum, 41, 678 Kirklin Road, had been wanted for the offense and surrendered to Thursday, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

Hynum was being held without bond pending an initial appearance in court.
