Ameristar Casino Hotel in Vicksburg has recognized five top employees

The awards were presented during the company’s annual Team Member Recognition program Feb. 23. Winners are nominated based on job performance.

Jeff White, a facilities engineer, was named Team Member of the Year and received $15,000. Shawn McDonald, a bartender, and Carolyn Morris, a security officer, were finalists for Team Member of the Year and each received $2,500. 

Jalisa McGloster, a buffet hostess/cashier, was named Part-time Team Member of the Year and received $2,000. Frank Gardner, an environmental services manager, was named Team Leader of the Year and received $5,000.

The casino also presents a monthly recognition program, during which $200 is awarded to three high-achieving employees — one from the gaming division, one from food and beverage and one from support, which includes all other departments.
