Joseph James King Jr. died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. He was 66.
Mr. King was a member of Evergreen M.B. Church, where he served as president of the usher board. He retired as a maintenance mechanic from Anderson-Tully.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rutha Mae King; his father and stepmother, Joseph Sr. and Willie Mae King; three brothers, Jessie King, Warren Bracey and Freddie Hall; and one grandchild, Terry Tamal Robinson.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela King Shaw and Lisa King, both of Vicksburg; his mother, Lucille Bracey; 11 sisters, Thelma Hubbard of San Francisco and Lorine King, Earnestine Quinn, Lucille Albert, Joann Stevens, Willen King, Brenda King, Vera Hall, Claudette King, Debbie Hall and Laura Ann King, all of Vicksburg; three brothers, Leroy King of Gary, Ind., and Michael King and Claude King, both of Vicksburg; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
