Two injured in wreck on Halls Ferry Road
Two people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck on Halls Ferry Road at Melrose Avenue Monday evening.
Angela Miller, 45, and passenger Darneicius Thomas, 20, 102 Elm Lane, were injured, Sgt. Jackie Johnson said, and a spokesman for River Region Medical Center said both were treated and released.
Miller was attempting to turn her 2007 Mazda MCX left from the northbound lane of Halls Ferry onto Melrose just before 6 p.m. when a 1993 Chevrolet S-10 driven by Gregory Hasty, 16, 207 Plantation Drive, hit the back of her vehicle, Johnson said.
Hasty told police he had looked away and looked back just before seeing Miller’s stopped vehicle, Johnson said.
Hasty and another passenger in the Mazda, Tyree Miller, 10, same address, were not reported injured, Johnson said.
