Two Vicksburg men and a teen were charged with armed robbery Sunday.

The victim told police he was in a parking lot in the 1300 block of Washington Street at about 3:11 a.m. when two teenagers approached him showing a handgun, demanded money and fled in a silver Buick driven by a third person, Stewart said.

The victim, who gave officials the suspects’ license plate number, said they took his wallet containing $13.

At 7:43 a.m., Richard Williams, 27, 1201 South St., was arrested at home after Vicksburg police discovered a vehicle that matched the description, Lt. Bobby Stewart chief of investigations said.

“Police located the car after running the tag number provided by the victim,” said Stewart.

The wallet was recovered on the ground next to the car.

A 15-year-old boy surrendered to police at 7:45 a.m. after police contacted his parents about the robbery, Stewart said.

About three hours later, James Ransom, 18, 515 Adams St., was arrested at home.

The 15-year-old was being held at the Warren County Youth Detention Center. Williams and Ransom were being held at the Warren County Jail without bond pending an initial appearance in court.
