A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who played a role in welcoming and serving the student nurses and their licensed counterparts during their annual convention in Vicksburg.

This year marked the fourth consecutive year that the Vicksburg Convention Center has lured the Mississippi Chapter of the Organization for Associated Degree Nursing to Vicksburg. The first year was 2006, and the convention was to have rotated around the state. But a funny thing happened. This group, which has grown to nearly 2,000 students, nurses and exhibitors, fell in love with the charm of the city, the friendliness of the people and the over-the-top customer service and attention to detail they received from our expert team at the convention center.

The board voted at the end of this year’s convention to return to Vicksburg and the convention center March 30-April 1, 2011!

Thank you, City of Vicksburg, especially the downtown merchants, area hoteliers and tourism industry partners. Together, we make a difference.
