Edwina Nicolette Whitman and Marcus Jamal Brown, both of Vicksburg, will be married at 5 p.m. May 22, 2010, at Zion Travelers Church on Poplar Street. A reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss Whitman is the daughter of Charmane Buie of Vicksburg and Edwin Whitman Sr. of Shreveport, La. She is the granddaughter of the late Charles Sr. and Gladys Butler of Vicksburg and Ethel Whitman and the late Johnny Whitman of Shreveport.

She is a hostess at Ameristar Casino.

Mr. Brown is the son of Ronnie and Cheryl Lane of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the Rev. David Brown and the late Ruby Brown and Annie Mae Brown, all of Vicksburg.
