Vallesso M. Grissom Clavelle died Friday, May 28, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. She was 42.

Ms. Clavelle was a Vicksburg native.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Hill Grissom; and her grandmother, Amelia Hill Mitchell.

Survivors include three daughters, Tarvia C. Grissom of Memphis and Toni S. Campbell and Diamond K. Clavelle, both of Vicksburg; one son, Deshaun D. Grissom of Memphis; seven sisters, Cherlyn Waller, Undria Reynolds, Meshell Chambliss, Angela Chambers, Yolanda Grissom and Pertrese Sweezer, all of Vicksburg, and Amelia McMiller of Atlanta; two brothers, James Reynolds Jr. and Anthony Reynolds, both of Vicksburg; her father, Alexander Grissom of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services were at 11 a.m. today at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
