Lois Ann Grubbs Grace, 78, a resident of Silverhill, Ala., went to be with our Lord Friday, June 4, 2010.

Mrs. Grace was born in Eagle Lake, Fla., on April 8, 1932, and spent most of her life as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother in Vicksburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Grace Jr.; her mother, Elizabeth (Younce) Grubbs; her father, Walter Dixon Grubbs; one brother, Eugene Grubbs; and one sister, Francis Harmon.

She is survived by two sisters, Lou (Gabby) Boyd of Pensacola, Fla., and Gladys English of Atlanta; children, Walter (Nancy) Grace of New Albany, Peter (Sharon) Grace of Starkville, Michael (Carol Ann) Grace of Birmingham, Ala., and Cathlin (Eugene) Melson of Silverhill, Ala.; 10 grandchildren, Rebecca (John) Davis, Melissa Grace, John Ward Grace, Branion Woody, Linsey Grace, Daniel Grace, Matthew Grace, Jonalin Melson, Diamond Melson, Cailalin Melson; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Per Mrs. Grace’s wishes, a private service family and close family friends officiated by Pastor John Davis will be at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg on Monday, June 7, 2010, at noon, and visitation at 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
