PORT GIBSON — Mary Sessions Goodwin died Saturday, June 5, 2010, at her home in Port Gibson. She was 87.
Mrs. Goodwin was a lifelong resident of Port Gibson. She worked with her husband at the Farmers Cooperative in Port Gibson. After his retirement, she continued working there for many years. She was an active member of he First Presbyterian Church. She generously volunteered time to her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Goodwin.
Survivors include three daughters, Martha Wood of Hattiesburg, Mille Wolfe and Betsy Gage and husband, Hal, all of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren, Robert Wood Jr. and wife Deedee, Hardy Wood, Nick Gage and wife Molly, Maury Wahtera and husband, Kirk, Rosanna Gage, Maury Wolfe, Waldon Wolfe and Connor Wolfe; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Michael Herrin officiating. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson with Glenwood Funeral Home in charge. Visitation will be from noon Monday until the hour of service at the church.
