Beginning today, the Vicksburg Farmers Market will move to the side parking lot of LD’s Kitchen, a Mulberry Street eatery, to give fresh produce vendors a little more room.
Booths will be set up in the back of the lot, organizers said. Parking is available in the front part of the lot, as well as along Mulberry Street and beside the Art Park at Catfish Row.
Hours of the outdoor market, in its third year, remain 8 to 11 a.m. Saturdays and 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays.
The venue was changed this year. It moved a block north to Catfish Row from the Levee Street Depot, due to construction near the depot.
The market kicked off June 5 and will run through Aug. 28. Today’s activities will feature music by Clay Koestler, a Master Gardeners program called Hypertufa Containers & Yard Art and the arrival of Smith County watermelons.
