A Vicksburg man who refused to give money to his 32-year-old son was in University Medical Center this morning with a broken left arm and head and facial injuries, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

Charles Ingram, 63, 316 Lake Hill Drive, was assaulted Thursday evening, Stewart said. Authorities were told Ingram’s son hit him in the head several times with an axe handle.

Omar Ingram of the same address was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic violence, Stewart said. Omar Ingram was being held in the Issaquena County Jail without bond pending his initial hearing.
