Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey smiles as he reclines to give blood Tuesday in support of Warren County Deputy David Lambert, who was injured June 24 in a one-car wreck on U.S. 61 North while responding to a call. Lambert, who remains at University Medical Center in Jackson, was in stable but serious condition this morning, a hospital spokesman said. Preparing Huskey for the procedure is Nakeshur Allen, a phlebotomist with Mississippi Blood Services, which reported receiving 60 pints of blood from 57 donors during the drive.
