Two Vicksburg men injured last week remained in hospitals today.
Charles Ingram, 63, 316 Lake Hill Drive, was listed in good condition at the University Medical Center, spokesman Peggy Wagner said.
Ingram was transferred from River Region Medical Center to the Jackson facility Thursday with a skull fracture, facial injuries and a broken arm after being hit several times with an ax handle for not giving money to his 32-year-old son, Police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
“They got into an argument about money that turned physical,” said Stewart.
The son, Omar Ingram, was charged with aggravated domestic violence, Stewart said. He was being held in the Warren County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
Albert Harris, 66, remained in fair condition today at River Region, spokesman Allen Karel said.
At about 8:45 p.m. Friday, several family members found Harris, 66, stabbed several times in the chest at his 108-A Cossar Court home, Stewart said.
Officials were awaiting a report from the Mississippi Crime Lab on a knife recovered at the scene, Stewart said. They have not determined if the instrument had been used in the stabbing. No suspects have been identified.
“We are aggressively following leads and information at this time,” Stewart said. “He said he doesn’t know who stabbed him.”
Officials are asking anyone with information to contact the Vicksburg Police Department Crimestoppers at 601-636-6393.
