Leslie J. Forsythe

Leslie J. Forsythe died Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at Highland Home in Ridgeland. He was 89.
Mr. Forsythe was a lifelong member of Clear Creek Golf Course. He served in the U.S. Army for four years. He was the administrator at Vicksburg Medical Center for 41 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reginald and Mary Gilbert Forsythe; his wife, Veronica Vadurro Forsythe; and a brother, Gilbert Richard Forsythe.
Survivors include his son, Ronald Joseph “Ron” Forsythe of Madison; four daughters, Leslie Joyce Thornton of Tallahassee, Patricia Loie “Patti” Banes of Baton Rouge, Kimberly Lynn “Kim” Kaiser of Marietta, Ga., and Constance “Connie” Abraham of Richmond; a sister, Joyce Edith Turnbull of Canada; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lutheran Church of the Messiah. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 until 8 at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home and Friday from 1 p.m. until the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Todd Horton, Rhett Horton, Ryan Horton, Ron Forsythe, Andrew Banes, Trey Brown, John Newton and Larry Fields.
Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Stroud, Leslie Newton, Highland Home staff, Jessie Johnson and his great-grandchildren.
