Former Vicksburg police officer Jack Hollingsworth is gearing up for his sixth annual country gospel event. The show benefits the Robert Wallace Hollingsworth Family Scholarship fund, set aside for law enforcement students at Hinds Community College.

The family event, which has drawn as many as 800 people in the past, will be at 6:30 p.m. July 24 at Hinds’ main campus in Raymond.

“We are continuing to raise money for the scholarship fund,” Hollingsworth said. “We’re looking to raise $15,000, and we’re short a few thousand.”
