A Vicksburg physician assistant has been named to the board of the Mississippi Academy of Physician Assistants.

Jo Peyregne-Lollar of River Region Health System was named director at large of the central division.

Peyregne-Lollar, who received her bachelor’s from Southeastern Louisiana University and her master’s from the University of Alabama, has been a physician assistant for Dr. Randy Easterling for one year.

Physician assistants work under the supervision of a doctor in hospitals or in family practice.
