CHICAGO— Ben Neal died Friday, July 16, 2010, at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Chicago. He was 91.

Mr. Neal was born in Claiborne County and lived in Vicksburg before moving to Chicago.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Neal; his parents, Cleveland and Joanna Neal; two sisters, Helen Riley and Irener Clark; and two brothers, Clearthur Neal and Tom Neal.

Survivors include his brother, Willie Neal of Vicksburg; and other relatives and friends, including Helen Neal Moore of Chicago.

Services were Wednesday at Gatling’s Chapel Inc. in Chicago. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Second Union Cemetery.
