Carla Nadler Simpson

Carla Nadler Simpson died peacefully at home on July 25, 2010, surrounded by her family. She was 69 years old.
Raised in Plaquemine, La., Carla was the daughter of the late Robert A. Nadler and the late Augusta “Tommie” Paulfelt Nadler.
Carla attended All Saints’ Episcopal School in Vicksburg and graduated from Plaquemine High School in 1957. She attended Louisiana State University.
A devoted wife, loving mother and loyal friend, Carla spent her life doing what she loved most: building her family and friendships. Carla leaves behind her high school sweetheart and husband of 50 years, Henry Deas Simpson III; daughters, Carla Ann Smythe and husband Zac, Juliane Murphy and husband Ken and Jeanine Griffith and husband Tommy; and her son, Henry Deas Simpson IV. She leaves her beloved grandchildren, Beth Britt McGinty, Michelle Vinson, Brittanie Smythe, Dale Griffith, Drew Griffith and Kaitlin Murphy; and great-granddaughter, Marlee McGinty.
The family would like to thank Gilbert’s Home Health, Patient’s Choice Hospice and longtime caretaker, DeeDee Warfield, for their loving care and support.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Catholic Church in Plaquemine, La. Burial will be at Grace Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Riles Funeral Home and Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
Pallbearers will be Bruck Nadler, Allen Nadler Jr., James W. Bean, Mark Migliacio, Robert Kirst, Bob Ford and Mac Ross.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Dare, Charlie Watkins, Ed Hand, Tom Patin, Ellis Buckner, Gerrold Hopkins and Bill Longfellow.
