A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail today charged with attempted robbery, records show.

Quartimere C. Simpson, 21, 4920 Halls Ferry Road, was arrested at his home around noon Monday after his neighbor told Warren County deputies he showed a weapon and demanded money during an argument, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

Simpson was being held without bond pending an initial appearance in court.

Pace said an investigation is ongoing into what caused the argument.
