A gunman made off with $136 after robbing the Sonic Drive-in on Halls Ferry Road Friday night, said Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart.

The man, described as a black male wearing a ski mask, blue long-sleeved shirt and dark pants, walked in to the restaurant at 8:50, pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money, Stewart said.

After being given the money, he fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said county deputies and a K-9 unit aided police in a search of nearby woods but did not find the suspect. “He may have doubled back and gotten into a waiting vehicle,” Pace said.

No one was injured in the robbery, Stewart said, and police had no suspects.
