Robert A. Cunningham Jr.

PORT GIBSON — Robert A. Cunningham Jr. died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson. He was 59.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Revs. Mark Richardson and Jim Kultau officiating. Burial will follow at 1:15 p.m. at National Cemetery in Natchez. Visitation will be today from 3 until 5 p.m. at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home.

Mr. Cunningham was a native of Vicksburg and a member of Port Gibson Baptist Church. He was a motorman for Transocean, an offshore drilling company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam as a radio man SP4. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Cunningham Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Annie Josephine Cunningham; his wife, Patsy I. Cunningham of Port Gibson; a son, Robert A. Cunningham of Delhi, La.; a sister, Mary Jane Spivey of Vicksburg; two stepsons, Robert M. Bailey of Ferriday and Albert V. Barnes of Tallulah; a stepdaughter, Teressa I. Richardson of Ferriday; a grandson, Joseph Cunningham of Delhi; and nieces and nephews, Butch Spivey III, Morgan Spivey, Angel Spivey and Meshell Ehrhart.
