There were several positives for the Vicksburg Gators in Friday’s Red Carpet Bowl Unfortunately for Vicksburg, the Gulfport Admirals had an armada of positives.

Admiral wide receiver and return man Travon Travis caught seven passes for 103 yards and one touchdown and added a 45-yard punt return for a score right before halftime to lead Gulfport by Vicksburg 49-7 in the 48th RCB at Memorial Stadium.

“He’s (Travis) a great player and we got the ball to him,” Gulfport coach Mike Justice said. “We have a good quarterback. The best thing he does is handle the offense and our backs ran hard.”
