Guns, electronics hot in city thefts

Weapons and electronics were among items reported missing in four residential burglaries and an auto burglary reported in the city Thursday.

A Buckmaster bow and case valued at $450, an Iceman bow valued at $668, an H&R 20-gauge shotgun valued at $150 and a 32-inch Visio TV valued at $420 were reported missing at 5:59 p.m. from a home in the 500 block of Belva Drive.

A Taurus handgun valued at $380 was reported missing at 5:06 p.m. from a home in the 200 block of Mattingly Road.

A 12-gauge shotgun valued at $400, a 22-caliber rifle valued at $200, a Pearl drum set valued at $300, an electric piano valued at $200, a Craftsman lawn mower valued at $300, a Sony surround sound system valued at $200 and a Peavey bass guitar valued at $300 were reported missing at 8:42 p.m. from a home in the 1000 block of Farmer Street.

A 50-inch Toshiba TV valued at $1,500, an assortment of DVDs valued at $200 and a gold chain valued at $350 were reported missing at 10:10 p.m. from a home in the 100 block of Eastover Drive.

A purse and its contents valued at $150 were reported missing at 11:35 a.m. from a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am in the 1100 block of Mulberry Street.
