Pecanty, Boland are wed Aug. 21

Kristopher James Pecanty and Ashley Miele Boland were married in a private ceremony at 11 a.m. Aug. 21, 2010, at Bovina United Methodist Church. Pastor Lister Bowdin officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Lynn Boland of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Joe Franco of Madison and the late Madeline Franco and Wilma W. Boland of Vicksburg and the late Robert A. Boland.
The groom is the son of Dan and Kelly Townsend of Clinton and Ken and Christy Pecanty of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of James “Jim” and Connie Kegerreis and Jane Pecanty, all of Vicksburg, and the late Mitchell Pecanty.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen color was mermaid blue.
A prelude of selected music was presented by Bobbie Smith, pianist.
Matron of honor was Courtney Boland Towne, sister of the bride, of Vicksburg. Maid of honor was Amanda M. Boland, sister of the bride, of Vicksburg. Bridesmaid was Mandi P. Driver, sister of the groom, of Oak Grove, La.
Trent Smith of Vicksburg served as best man. Groomsmen were Jay Cooper and Jaime Blok, both of Vicksburg.
Usher was Chase Towne, brother-in-law of the bride, of Vicksburg.
Flower girl was Baylyn Miele Pecanty, daughter of the couple, of Vicksburg. Ring bearer was William Cooper Towne, nephew of the bride, of Vicksburg.
Scripture reader was Steven Hugley of Vicksburg.
Special wedding assistant was Sue VanDenAkker.
A reception was held at the Knights of Columbus. Hostesses were special friends of the couple.
The couple will make their home in Vicksburg, where the bride is employed at Ameristar Casino and the groom is employed at International Paper.
Rehearsal dinner
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner for members of the wedding party and their families at Goldie’s Trail Barbecue.
Shower
The bride was honored with a miscellaneous shower at the home of her parents. Hostesses were Courtney Towne, Amanda Boland, Mandi Driver, Charity Towne, Morgan Abraham and Courtney Weaver.
