Five home burglaries reported in Vicksburg during long weekend

Five residential burglaries were reported in the city during the holiday weekend.

A Sony PlayStation 2 game system valued at $300 and 12 games valued at $480 were reported missing at 9:13 a.m. Friday from a home in the 1500 block of Ethel Street.

Four chrome wheels and tires valued at $1,200 were reported missing at 2:45 p.m. Sunday from the storage shed of a home in the 2500 block of Hannah Avenue.

An 18-inch Sanyo flat-screen TV valued at $185 was reported missing at 9:20 p.m. Sunday from a home in the 1100 block of Jefferson Street.

A Samsung cell phone valued at $80 and $70 in cash were reported missing at 3:20 p.m. Monday from a home in the 100 block of Alcorn Drive.

A jewelry box containing various jewelry valued at $250 was reported missing at 7:54 p.m. Monday from a home in the 2600 block of Confederate Avenue.
