Mounger, Sciarretta to exchange vows Oct. 2

Mr. and Mrs. William Harris Mounger of Vicksburg are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Kathryn, to Jason Daniel Sciarretta. Mr. Sciarretta is the son of Palma Sciarretta of Hollywood, Fla., and Dominick Sciarretta of Stamford, Conn.
Miss Mounger is the granddaughter of Muriel Dees Arceneaux of Vicksburg and the late William Harris Mounger and the late Ethel Jackson Mounger, all of Jackson.
Mr. Sciarretta is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donato Sciavillo of Port Chester, N.Y., and Esther Sciarretta and the late Severino Sciarretta of Stamford, Conn.
The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Madison Central High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi, where she was a member of Phi Mu sorority.
Miss Mounger is a registered nurse with MedStaff Nursing Agency, serving hospitals in the Miami, Fla., metropolitan area.
The prospective groom is a 1994 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale and attended Saba University School of Medicine in Saba, Netherlands-Antilles.
He began his residency in surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center and completed his surgical residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky in June.
Mr. Sciarretta is completing a two-year fellowship in trauma surgery at the University of Miami in Florida.
Vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. Oct. 2, 2010, at Cedar Grove Mansion & Inn. A reception will follow at the B’nai B’rith Literary Club.
