A Saturday event will aim to educate veterans in the Claiborne County area about medical services offered through the Veterans Affairs health care system.

The outreach effort by the G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery VA Medical Center will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Claiborne County Fairgrounds, 1120 U.S. 61 North, Port Gibson.

Services will include eligibility determination, registration, enrollment in MyHealthyVet, lab work, physical exams, vaccinations, patient education, vet center counseling, benefits and cemetery information.
