MEMPHIS — George William Ettinger died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, in Memphis. He was 72.

Mr. Ettinger was born in Vicksburg in 1938 and served for several years in the Mississippi National Guard. He was a commodities merchandiser for more than 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandchildren, Meghan and Benjamin.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa Westbrook Ettinger; daughters Laura Ettinger of Manitou Springs, Colo., and Deb Forbes of Columbia, S.C.; sons George Ettinger and Charles Ettinger, both of Memphis, Andrew Ettinger of Greensboro, N.C., and Jody Murphy of Vicksburg; and, son-in-law, Gregory Hadsall of Memphis; a brother, Howard Ettinger of Bovina; a sister, Grace Ellen Westbrook of Vicksburg; and grandchildren, Emily, Savannah, Keifer, Parker, Andi Elise, Walker, Christopher and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Memphis Funeral Home.

Visitation is tonight from 5 until 8 at the funeral home.
