Michael Shane Wallace

Lt. Col. Michael Shane Wallace died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was 42.
Lt. Col. Wallace grew up in Kentucky and served in the U.S. Army for 19 years.
Funeral services will be held in his honor at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bowmar Baptist Church. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Gulde Cemetery in Brandon with full military honors. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Glenwood Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Olivia Christine Wallace of Vicksburg; his sons, Codie Shane Wallace of Vicksburg and Weston Seth Wallace of Henderson, Tenn.; daughters, Autumn Nikole Wallace of Henderson and Olivia Tyler DeWitt and McKenzie Grace Wallace, both of Vicksburg; his mother, Sandra Kaye Wallace of Murray, Ky.; his parents, James Gary and Vicki Wallace of Murray; sisters, Tonya Renee Edwards and Amy Michelle Phillips, both of Murray; a brother, James Chase Wallace of Murray; paternal grandmother, Mertie Wallace Farrow of Murray and his maternal grandmother, Harriet Hayden Terry of Milburn, Ky.
The family thanks Dr. Tammy Young and her staff for their loving care. Thanks to the staff of the Mississippi Baptist Hospital Services 6th floor Oncology Unit for their dedicated care.
